Client: Hugh Osgood
Project: 'Eternity' book design & typesetting
Testimonial: “Having worked with Jacob Hilton in the past, he was the obvious choice when I needed someone to carry out some complicated typesetting for a book combining art and prose. He was a joy to work with as the book took shape and the end results met all of my expectations. I have no hesitation in commending him.” – Hugh Osgood - author, speaker and broadcaster
My comments: Getting the opportunity to work again with Hugh was a blast. Having worked in the past for his charity, Charis Communications, I was aware of how much thought he puts into every book he writes, and 'Eternity' doesn't miss the mark. The brief was simple: keep to the branding of this book series and display the text in a clear, logical format. Throughout the process, I worked closely with Hugh on the text, with the artwork designer, Billy, on getting the art print-ready, and Hugh's assistant on sending the book to print. I sensitively proposed a number of minor tweaks to refine the book series branding and text formatting, which were warmly welcomed. I'm really pleased with the final product and I recommend buying yourself a copy if exploring the topic of eternity intrigues you – good bedtime reading!
